EK Foundation - Vision and mission
Vision and mission
Our participant’s profile shows that the youth has always been our very dependable driving force. They have actively participated and encouraged others to contribute in the Cause.
We believe in small actions that lead to bigger changes.
Our MISSION is to spark that spirit of action, right from within an individual, to his/her home, friends, neighbourhood and field of influence.
After all, it was a one old man whose idea of Civil Disobedience brought all of us once together as a united force against forces of slavery and injustice; that One, who we call our Father, The Father of our Nation, made us believe in the ‘Power of One’.
This website is a space for all of us to come together as 'one'. As an entity that works on issues close to our heart--

"Save The Girl Child" campaign under the banner of ‘Save Her Ever’ (http://www.facebook.com/saveherever) has been able to gather a lot of support from all of you. But, what will make the real difference in our perspective towards girls, is to be able to grow in our hearts, to able to realize that it is immoral to differentiate between a boy and a girl.
During our campaigns we visited villages in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh where birth of a girl child was not given recognition. Our steady brain-storming sessions, close interactions and personal initiation has been able to initiate the spirit of Positive Change in those villages. Today, birth of a Girl is not just recognized but also celebrated with a heart-warming happiness.
It was effort of many individuals that came together as 'ONE' and made this change possible. In the past, we have also been a part of many similar Awareness camps and Field trips for homeless children.
Environment Conservation
‘Save Tiger’, ‘Save Water’, ‘Plant a tree’ and ‘Do not litter’ are certain campaigns we are running on grass root levels. The environment today needs us more than we need the environment. It has served us for centuries and will continue to do so only if we return the favour. It is time. And we know it is.
Education
‘Each one teach one’ campaign has triggered off brilliantly in various colleges and their respective NSS wings. We have everyday people turning into heroes and telling us there experiences and satisfaction levels after they started giving back to society.
‘We should learn and educate’- This is our motive. We should always believe in spreading the fruit of knowledge. We will soon upload our inspiring day to day stories. You are most welcome to share yours.
Health Care
We have in the past organised numerous Blood Donation camps, Eye Care camps and AIDS awareness camps. Our biggest achievement came in the form of Miss Universe 2010 Aids Awareness tour.
It was a golden opportunity for young people to work with the beauty queen and beautify people’s life. It gives us a wonderful feeling and helps us look at the beauty within.
Vihangam Yoga, is another enlightening exercise that we have assosciated ourselves with very frequently. Even the beauty queen was impressed with the storehouse of positive energy and serenity she experiences through the meditations. In the current scenario of political and social upheaval we are trying to create an environment of peace and prosperity.

EK foundation is an initiative of high-spirited like-minded people who believe in the power in every single 'one' of us.
We at the Ek foundation do not claim to change the world. Our appeal is to the individual, who has it in him/her to take
action.Nothing happens on its own. Our campaigns do not include any such fairy-tale like grand plans of a nation. But we do
believe in the old saying - 'charity begins at home'. Our intention is to spark that spirit of action, right from within an
individual to his/her home, friends, neighbourhood and field of influence.
